Security Engineer

What we are looking for:

To help us on our mission, we are looking for a talented and highly ambitious Security Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for designing and implementing security solutions for the internal back office and production networks.

• Implement Endpoint Security Solutions:
• Deploy and manage Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions to safeguard endpoints from threats.
• Continuously monitor and fine-tune endpoint security configurations to ensure optimal protection.
• Design and Deploy Zero Trust Networks:
• Develop and implement Zero Trust Network strategies to secure access to resources based on strict identity verification.
• Ensure secure communication channels and minimize attack surfaces through micro-segmentation and least-privilege access controls.
• Setup Centralized Logging and SEIM Integration:
• Establish centralized logging infrastructure to aggregate security logs from various sources.
• Configure log sources, parsers, and alerting rules within the Security Information and Event Management (SEIM) system for efficient threat detection and response.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
• Work closely with Network Infrastructure, IT Operations, and Software Development teams to integrate security best practices into their workflows.
• Provide guidance and support to ensure secure design, development, and deployment of software and network infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications:

• College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Or equivalent experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Very strong ability to listen attentively, apply logic and reason, follow- through, can-do attitude, and exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
• Proven experience in a security engineering role, with a focus on endpoint security, network security, and SEIM solutions.
• Proficiency in industry leading EDR/XDR solutions (SentinelOne, Crowdstrike, Microsoft Defender)
• Previous experience with Zero Trust Networking concepts and solutions.
• Hands-on experience with centralized logging, log source configuration, and SEIM platforms.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Security+) are a plus.
• Strong focus on service quality and providing the best possible user experience, with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Comfortable working in dynamic, international environments, both as a member of cross-functional teams and independently
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
