Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated part-time faculty member to join our team at [University Name], with a focus on delivering engaging instruction both in person and online for undergraduate math courses, particularly in college algebra. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Conduct courses within the School of Mathematics as assigned by the Chair

Deliver high-quality instruction in accordance with the department's syllabus, including grading assignments, monitoring attendance, and maintaining lab materials as required

Maintain regular communication with the Program Chair

Be available to teach courses during the designated timeslots to support the University's objectives

Assess student performance and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders

Respond promptly to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff

Incorporate current technologies and relevant topics into course materials

Wholeheartedly support the mission and goals of the University

Qualifications

Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with individuals and groups

Flexibility in scheduling is essential

Preferential consideration given to candidates with experience in various teaching formats and a background in math instruction, particularly in college algebra for undergraduate students

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of an M.S. or PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, data analytics, or data science (with a minimum of 18 hours of upper division coursework in the relevant area)

Proven track record of effective teaching
