Senior Sales Account Executive

Job Description

Do you have a passion for furniture and design? Have you worked with architects, designers, and dealers in the commercial market? Are you eager to join a dynamic and expanding team of sales professionals? If so, Akers Business Solutions is looking for you!

Who We Are: Akers Business Solutions is a top manufacturer’s rep firm in the furniture industry, representing some of the most innovative and reputable brands. We are growing our team throughout the East Coast and are seeking sales representatives who can work from home independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads and build relationships with the architectural and design community to specify our manufacturers' furniture products.
  • Work with our office furniture dealers to provide them with product information, pricing, and support.
  • Conduct presentations and demonstrations to showcase our products and solutions.
  • Manage sales cycles and close deals.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Report sales activities and results to the management team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in a related field (preferred).
  • Specific experience in the furniture industry (preferred).
  • Inside and/or outside sales experience with a proven track record of problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Multi-level relationship-building skills and exceptional follow-up discipline.
  • Ability to work as a team player, while also having a strong work ethic and ability to work remotely.
  • Excellent time management, oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Professional appearance and a can-do attitude.
  • Clean driving record and availability to travel within the assigned territory.

  • Work from home with slight travel outside New England states (Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Connecticut), usually once a quarter.
