For over thirteen years, Manhead has succeeded as one of the leading, independently owned music/entertainment merchandise companies, specializing in touring, e-commerce, creative, retail, licensing, collaborations, and pop-up shops.

 

We are seeking an individual with apparel industry experience, strong sales and merchandising skills who will help manage existing domestic retail business and develop new business and product offerings.

 

Position reports to the Vice President of Retail & Licensing.


Responsibilities

  •  Coordinate with sales representatives, licensees, and retailers to maximize brand retail footprint.
  • Provide support within the department and with other Manhead departments to build new opportunities and meet retailer needs.
  • Analyze marketplace and suggest and implement growth strategies.
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of manufacturers, trends, retail processes and promotional opportunities within the category to help strengthen the merchandise strategy.
  • Carefully monitor the progress of contracts and approvals of products and marketing materials/advertisements through the relevant systems helping to resolve any issues to meet sales and product goals.
  • Assist with the creation of suitable sales support materials and presentations as needed.
  • Work with key licensees and retailers to forecast income on a quarterly basis and retain full awareness of apparel licensees and Manhead’s products and sales footprint.
  • Attend trade fairs, presentations, and industry events as necessary.


Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. retail tiers, channels, and retailers (including online).
  • Knowledge of apparel merchandise trends as to garments and designs.
  • 3-5 years sales experience preferably in the apparel market within the U.S.
  • Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes.
  • A team player with good collaboration and influencing skills that can persuade at multiple levels.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and results-orientated individual.
  • Flexible, capable of working in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
