In 2023 Enrich Foods acquired Great River Milling as our platform to market Organic and Specialty Grain-based Natural Foods products directly to consumers. We are searching for an experienced food industry sales pro to lead our sales and customer support efforts of our Great River Milling production facility in Fountain City Wisconsin.

Position Description

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, and working directly in support of the General Manager for Great River Milling, this role will lead efforts to build revenue for Enrich Foods Products in the broader Retail, Custom Packaging and commercial ingredients segments. This will include sourcing and closing new customers and serving as the resource for our current customer base to ensure continued growth and development. Additionally this role will be a key member of our Great River Milling management team to ensure operational and administrative best practices.

The ideal candidate will be an established food-industry sales manager with experience in packaged product sales, as well as a basic technical understanding of Organic Grains as an ingredient to food processors. A background in the elements of the Organic Foods industry will be especially preferred.

This position will be based in our primary facility in Fountain City Wisconsin and our candidate would need to be located in proximity.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of growth strategies and action plans to drive profitable revenue
  • Directly contact buyers and decision makers to secure new customers as appropriate
  • Manage the key customer RFP submission / category review process from start to finish
  • Function as the key resource between customers and operations
  • Prepare and manage forecasts, projections, and strategic plans
  • Achieve revenue and expense control targets commensurate with Enrich Foods Budget and Business Plan
  • Create Value through the Supply Chain for Enrich Foods as well as our customers
  • Manage related sales expenses within budget requirements
  • Work collaboratively within related departments of Enrich Foods and Columbia Grain International
  • Participate in industry trade show
  • Other duties assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, Education And Experience

  • Extensive knowledge of the Customer, Distributor, and Manufacturer landscape
  • Ability to collaborate and function as a resource with all departments
  • Understanding and successful track record with selling food products
  • Experience and working knowledge of the Organic Foods segment
  • Excellent communication skills and empathetic understanding of customer needs
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to build sales stories.
  • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPI’s)
  • Familiarity with CRM software.
  • Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent technical and communication skills
  • Ability to travel without restrictions
