Overview

Empire Office is currently seeking a Director of Sales in our Atlanta office to join our growing team. This position will oversee and manage the Account Management and Account Coordinator staff in their respective office. They will act as the primary point of contact for their sales team to encourage new sales opportunities, as well as collaborate with them to assess project size, support needs and appropriate deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as manager between Sales and Account Managers/Account Coordinators
  • Delegate team workload based on varying staff workloads and competency levels
  • Act as liaison between Account Managers/Account coordinators and supporting departments (i.e. operations, PM, Design and Accounting)
  • Provide review & guidance on customer quotes/proposals
  • Training, development & motivation of Account Managers and Account Coordinators
  • Recruiting and retention of Account Managers and Account Coordinators
  • Promote efficient and productive work environment
  • Provide constructive performance feedback on a regular basis, incentivize employees where needed
  • Partner with Human Resources on conflict resolution and/or personnel issues
  • Will produce regular management reports on staff progress and issues

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years in the furniture industry; experience working at a dealership preferred
  • Knowledge & proficiency with Hedberg preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent time management skills, and ability to handle deadlines
  • Have a professional, yet approachable persona
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Ability to motivate others
