Sales Director-Agriculture/Horticulture

Reporting to the VP - Filtration & Life Sciences and key member of the Americas and APAC F&LS leadership team. As a strategic thinker, with a passion for developing market strategy, driving sales growth, and leading a dynamic team, the Sales Director - Agriculture/Horticulture

will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the US Agriculture/Horticulture

market by delivering exceptional value to our customers.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:


Commercial Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Design and lead the US annual sales plan, including budget forecasts and mid to long term planning.
  • Set performance goals by market segment and geography, allocating sales teams with a focus on innovation and new opportunities.
  • Plan, direct, and control all sales activities within the market segments and geographies, collaborating with Marketing and Product Managers to align with company strategy.
  • Responsible for nurturing long-term relationships with key customers, understanding customer needs, supporting key contract negotiations and finding solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide accurate inputs to Sales Planning to improve forecast accuracy, working closely with Operations and Supply Chain teams.
  • Proactively work with Collections and customers to achieve accounts receivables targets.


Sales Team Leadership:

  • Lead, coach and develop a sales team to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Implement a performance management routine with monthly sales huddles and individual one-on-one meetings to review target achievement and action plans.
  • Manage and coordinate large accounts on a global scale.

Market Insights and Reporting:

  • Support Marketing in understanding market trends, competitive landscape, and evolving customer needs across Agriculture, Horticulture, Personal Care, Animal welfare and many other Life Sciences markets.
  • Prepare and present regular reports and KPIs on sales performance and opportunities in collaboration with Business Analysts.
  • Utilize BI and CRM data to monitor the sales pipeline and track progress towards targets.
  • Embrace and promote company values, ensuring a high level of service to customers.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related business discipline; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven technical sales leadership experience.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills to drive team performance and achieve results.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Proficiency in common IT tools (Excel, Word, G Suite, web tools); Salesforce experience is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, up to 50%.
