Sales Coordinator, New York
AKA Hotels + Hotel Residences is recruiting a Sales Coordinator to assist and support the sales team at AKA Central Park, AKA Times Square, and AKA Sutton Place in New York City. Our ideal candidate will be eager to join a well-established team and is energetic, highly organized, accommodating, and team focused. This candidate will also possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills with a diversified group of people. This role is primarily administrative and requires time management capabilities and outstanding attention to detail.
Team Member Requirements:
- Assist New York Area Sales Team to include entering reservations, sending proposals, communicating with clients, and updating company CRM.
- Respond and Close individual reservation requests that are 10 nights and under for individuals at AKA Central Park, AKA Times Square and AKA Sutton Place, increasing occupancy and revenue for all New York properties.
- Conduct on site property tours, qualify each resident, and provide expert knowledge in all suite types.
- First point of contact for clients when Sales Manager or Director is out of office.
- Run weekly reporting for Director of Sales - NYC.
- Service clients directly for any group blocks and work with client, sales, and AGM to ensure accuracy.
- Manage central sales systems, to include sales phones, and lead distribution through the sales mailbox.
- Partner with Revenue Management to ensure negotiated rates are loaded and used correctly.
- Partner with Operations teams to ensure sales clients and guests have exceptional experiences with AKA (to include: VIP’ing guests, assisting with room selection, billing etc.)
- Assist with all RFP processes to include Lanyon, CVENT, and SELL (CRM) management.
- Audit CRM, SELL by ZenDesk, to update pipelines and activities. Use SELL to log all deals and activity.
- Attend and participate in all required team and client meetings.
Desired Requirements:
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
- Minimum of two (2) years prior experience in hospitality
- Ability to be flexible with work schedule and location
- Above average excel, and power point skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
