About The Role
The role of a Stylist at Hampden is to forge connections with customers while communicating Hampden's brand values with insightful and passionate product knowledge. Responsible for cultivating and maintaining valuable client relationships, as well as acting as an ambassador for Hampden standards in retail sales and luxury experiences. Driven, competitive, charismatic, highly collaborative, and engaged, the Stylist is an integral part of the sales team - you are the face of Hampden! This is a sales position that requires competitive and ambitious sales goals and stylist skills.
This role is unique in the sense that it is equally a stylist role and a sales associate role. It is a balance of being creative and loving to connect with clients while selling beautiful product and being able to strategically grow your own business within Hampden. You will be given leads and endless resources to grow your business. It will be up to you to run with it and take advantage of the fun and unique opportunities presented. You are in the business of empowering women through fashion. This is done by leveraging your relationship with clients with your knowledge and love for the product that is thoughtfully procured by Stacy, Owner and Buyer. You will have the opportunity to meet wonderful clients along with well- known designers from all over the World.
About You
The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of luxury or high-end sales experience with a proven ability to drive and exceed both individual and store results with candor and kindness. Competitive in nature with an appetite for hitting and exceeding sales goals. Key Responsibilities
- Create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment by welcoming and celebrating differences to ensure a supportive, productive, and fun experience for the team and the customer
- Facilitate a seamless guest experience through hospitality, product knowledge and the passion that radiates from you
- Prepare the fitting rooms, find sizes, and provide honest, knowledgeable feedback to customers regarding merchandise style and fit.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure an optimal guest experience that values guests' time and supports store operations
- Take ownership of the sales floor to ensure customer experience is the first priority.
- Forge lasting relationships with customers by engaging with them about product details, new product and replenishment and invite them to upcoming events.
- Give personalized recommendations to clients as you build your relationship with them
- Deepen relationships with clients through in store and digital experiences
- Be knowledgeable on what's new and what's selling well and shares with both the customer and team
- Have a grasp on the fashion industry as a whole, trends, cultural influences
- Be a team player, maintain visual standards throughout the store, assist with daily operations
- Efficiently multitask, ability to weigh priorities and act upon them, ability to have sustained focus as you are completing priorities
- Promote the vision and culture of Hampden while balancing the alignment of loyalty to the Hampden brand and being a champion for vendor brands
- Resolve guest feedback and address issues, including guest escalations and urgent requests, helping to "make it right" for guests
- Strives to meet and exceed sales goals and company key performance indicators
- Establish supportive and productive relationships with all team members, focusing on personal and professional development
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and sufficient work experience
- 1-3+ years sales or hospitality experience with a luxury client base preferred
- Strong verbal and written skills, effective and kind communicator
- Strong eye for fashion
- Ability to perform effective selling techniques to achieve sales and repeat business
- Technologically savvy a plus, with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- A leader in punctuality and attendance, adhering to scheduled shifts
- Builder of relationships with both customers and colleagues
- A customer service expert, creates experiences and develops relationships with customers, embraces the social aspect of sales and the ability to handle customer concerns positively and proactively
- Willing to work as part of a team and complete work independently
- Willing to move through a store for most of a shift to help guests and accomplish work
