This Sales Representative position will be responsible for introducing and implementing sales strategies for the company's available product lines of Health, Exercise & Sport Performance products throughout selected commercial markets in Texas. Our product lines are top tier and well known throughout the world and found in most major facilities in Texas: PRECOR, Peloton Commercial Bikes, Aviron, PowerLift, Escape Fitness and NuStep to name a few. Our industry is rapidly changing in Guided Fitness products such as PELOTON as well as “Gamified” Fitness software and equipment. Gamified fitness relies upon video programs which feature points, badges, leaderboards, and rewards to motivate and engage users.


In the role, you will be calling on fitness centers, multi-family housing, corporate wellness, first responders, hospitality, and other sport-related facilities. The territory includes all vertical market prospects and customers in DFW Metro,and other regional territories as assigned. With 65 employees, Marathon Fitness is the only Distributor in the Southwest with an investment in new product inventory, the people, the parts, and the fleet of service vehicles to immediately support all our clients. Along with sales, we deliver world-class service and preventive maintenance programs in most major markets, with 24–48-hour turnaround when responding to service calls.


Responsibilities

  • Drive direct sales of all products, by developing, identifying, and securing all relevant direct sale opportunities for Commercial Fitness accounts in territory with emphasis in the multi-family markets.
  • Generate market interest and close sales by executing Product and Segment Marketing activities such as: outbound calls and as needed assist with social media projects, surveys, campaigns and/or promotions.
  • On-site product demonstrations and facility tour for visiting customers as required by management.
  • Partner effectively with the Field Service Team to drive territory coverage and maintain positive relationships.
  • Achieves/exceeds monthly sales targets for number of prospects turned into appointments.
  • Grows and maintains existing customer and partner relationships through pro-active tele-sales activities.
  • Manages quote creation, order processing and any other day to day customer assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the internal team members and external service teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Travel in support of sales or training meetings, customer site visits, and/or trade shows as required from time to time, with approximately 30 days of overnights for travel in the territory.
  • On an ongoing basis, develop strong knowledge of leading industry trends and product applications.
  • Effectively utilize CRM, Outlook, and manage spreadsheets on a daily basis.
  • Manage sales funnel development by entering and updating all customer opportunities and leads through entire sales cycle.


Compensation

  • Full time, base of $60-$80,000 (DOE) per year plus monthly commission.
  • Competitive base salary, quarterly commissions and bonuses for sales excellence can reward the rep with an overall income of $90,000 to $150,000 annually. Company health insurance provided along with business related expenses reimbursed. Training consists of on the job as well as factory provided certifications in the field of Cardio, Strength, and Functional equipment.

Education

Bachelor's degree (preferred)


Experience

  • Sales Experience: 2 or more years (required) in the Multi-Family market or similar industry with capital equipment sales experience.
  • Customer Service: 2 or more years (required)
  • Health, Medical, or other compelling Fitness experience necessary.


License/Certification

  • Driver's License


Work Location

  • Remote/On the road with approximately 30 days of travel per year
