Job Description: As a Risk Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across various areas of the organization. Your primary role involves developing and implementing risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the organization from potential threats and vulnerabilities. You will conduct risk assessments, analyze data, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify potential risks, assess their potential impact, and develop mitigation plans. Additionally, you will monitor risk exposures, track risk indicators, and provide recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for improvement in business processes, systems, and operations.
  • Analyze data, trends, and key risk indicators to assess the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks on the organization's objectives and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, compliance, and legal, to develop and implement risk mitigation plans and initiatives.
  • Monitor risk exposures, track risk indicators, and report on risk management activities to senior management, board of directors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide recommendations to senior management on risk management strategies, risk tolerance levels, and risk mitigation measures to support informed decision-making and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes affecting the organization's risk profile and implement appropriate risk management practices and controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, risk management, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree or professional certification such as FRM or PRM preferred).
  • Several years of experience in risk management, risk analysis, or related roles, preferably in the financial services industry or a regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in risk assessment methodologies, statistical analysis, and data modeling techniques.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and best practices in risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Leadership skills and ability to influence stakeholders to drive risk management initiatives and foster a risk-aware culture within the organization.
