Position Summary

Ogletree Deakins, an Am Law 100 law firm, seeks a coordinator to join the firm’s fast-paced RFP and Pitch Team in its Client Services Department. The firm’s fast-paced RFP and Pitch team has an opening for a coordinator who will primarily focus on creating/editing materials in Adobe InDesign or Microsoft PowerPoint for responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), pitches, and other business development opportunities. The position will also help the team with other aspects of the proposal process as needed, including creating shells/drafts in Microsoft Word and compiling attachments. This position requires extensive interaction with the other members of the RFP and Pitch team, the firm’s attorneys, Client Services colleagues, office administrators, practice assistants, and other firm departments. Hybrid and remote work available although there may be times the candidate will be required to be in-person for trainings, team meetings, or firm events. This position may be remote, but the successful candidate must reside in a state where the firm has a physical office. Depending on location, this position might also require minimal travel for team or departmental meetings.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitates proposal process primarily for design-based proposals:
    • Reviews and analyzes requests
    • Creates, designs, and edits business development materials in Adobe InDesign
    • Creates and edits Microsoft PowerPoint slide decks for proposals and pitch meetings
    • Assembles and organizes attachments
    • Communicates with the team, attorneys, and other departments to ensure proposal requirements and deadlines are met
  • Works on other proposals, typically created in Microsoft Word, as needed:
    • Reviews and analyzes requests
    • Creates shells and initial drafts of proposals
    • Proofreads proposals, pitches, and other presentation materials
    • Assembles and organizes attachments
    • Communicates with the team, attorneys, and other departments to ensure proposal requirements and deadlines are met
  • Other tasks if needed, including:
    • Updates and maintains attorney biographies
    • Travels to and provides support for firm events
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong graphic design skills
  • Ability to translate ideas and text-based content into professional, aesthetically pleasing Adobe InDesign or Microsoft
  • PowerPoint materials that are consistent with the firm’s brand
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the firm’s structure, practice groups, and industry groups
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills, including the ability to professionally communicate with a wide variety of individuals and respond to inquiries in a timely, professional manner
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to shifting priorities, proactively address issues, and act with a sense of urgency when needed
  • Ability to conduct basic online research

Preferred

  • 1+ years of experience in a role with graphic design responsibilities
  • 1+ years of relevant legal business development/marketing/writing and/or law firm experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, and InterAction

Benefits

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $56,880 and $85,320. In accordance with New York City’s Wage Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this New York City position is between $63,920 and $95,880. In accordance with California’s amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $55,120 and $100,800. In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities act, the expected salary range for this Washington position is between $61,040 and $91,560. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.
