Retail Store Manager

At Friedman’s, we believe the Store Manager sets the tone for the store and is responsible for bringing Friedman’s brand to life for our customers and Team Members. The Store Manager’s leadership, presence and engagement is critical in supporting the execution of the store strategy to achieve performance goals and drive growth through all aspects of the store, including sales, merchandising, and talent development.

In collaboration with the Store Leadership team, the Store Manager’s goal is to:

• Develop, engage and inspire teams at every level.
• Be accountable for team performance through ongoing teaching, coaching, and providing meaningful feedback to build capabilities.
• Move the organization forward with a consistent commitment to meeting goals and objectives.
• Manage daily store operations to drive operational initiatives and ensure profitability.
• Influence Team Members do to strong emotional intelligence, resilience, and communication.
• Hands on leadership to mentor and inspire a highly functioning and engaged team by continuously motivating and developing Team Members to meet the short and long-term needs of the business.

Location/Hours: This is an exempt position located at the Friedman’s Home Improvement retail store in Sonoma County. The Store Manager will work a retail schedule to command their store location during the highest traffic hours of the day and days of the week. Presence through varied shifts is necessary to ensure complete understanding of store operations from open to close.
