Summary of Job Duties:

This Research Assistant I, is a NIH-funded research position in the Department of Neurobiology and Developmental Sciences.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biology PLUS three (3) years' experience in related field; Specialized formal training on animal colony maintenance, genotyping, Western blot, DNA/RNA analysis, real-time PCR and/or related experience.
• Some working knowledge in molecular biology is preferred.
  
  

Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

• Mouse colony management including ear tagging.
• Mouse Genotyping by PCR.
• Routine Laboratory Maintenance (ordering and receiving supplies).
• Other experimental procedures under PI’s direction.
• Other duties as assigned.
