Job Title: Repair Contract Assistant/Administrative Assistant

Pay Range: DOE (range of $26.24-32.50/hour)

LaborMax Staffing is looking for a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude. Candidates should be able to assist the shipyard repair team and all visitors to the company by handling office tasks, providing polite and professional assistance to Repair Contract Managers, various other clerical duties, and generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace.

Duties

Assist Repair Contract Manager in coordinating various shipyard projects.

Communicate project updates to relevant stakeholders.

Assist in document control processes, including version control and distribution.

Provide general administrative support to the shipyard repair team.

Maintain organized filing systems for project documentation.

Ensure all project-related documents are properly stored and accessible.

Schedule and coordinate meetings, including arranging facilities and preparing agendas.

Perform various clerical duties, such as filing, copying, and scanning documents.

Assist in preparing and processing paperwork

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum High School diploma or GED required

Minimum of three (3) years of prior administrative experience required.

Excellent Computer Skills Required.

Microsoft Office Suites experience required.

Demonstrate ability to maintain, improve and promote a team environment through strong communication skills

Shipyard or related construction experience is welcome but not required.

Attention to detail.

Specific Job Skills

Organizational skills to keep things in order and manage appointments.

Microsoft Office proficiency to handle documentation and emails.

Customer service skills to address clients and staffs needs.

Research skills to find and present relevant information.

Job Scope: This position routinely works with minimal supervision after instruction has been given. Candidates must be motivated and must be able to follow directions.

Interpersonal Contacts: This position works both independently and as part of a team. The ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with others within a team, and other trades of the organization is essential in this role.
