Steelcase is hiring a Regional Education Manager to drive Education business and be a learning environment expert within the Seattle market! You’ll be accountable for developing business that leads to key wins in both the Higher Education and K-12 segments.



What You Will Be Doing:

You will stay abreast on education trends and identify opportunities to apply our research and insights to help customers solve problems. You will develop deep business relationships with dealers education customers and key influencers to secure product specifications and close profitable sales. You will be based in the greater Seattle area covering an assigned larger geographic region including Alaska and Oregon.

A critical component of this role is managing through distribution and longer, complex selling cycles. You will act as designated design, technical or learning product expert as needed, and act as a coach/mentor for others to ensure market/account plans are executed and business is secured.

You have a keen interest in the evolution of learning and demonstrate:

  • Desire and track record of solving complex business problems
  • Broad understanding of the education sector and navigating decision makers within education systems
  • Current knowledge of the processes and key issues common to all businesses with emphasis on learning facilities and spaces
  • Ability to evaluate a vertical market, create and manage to a regional plan
  • Expert interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop and cultivate strong relationships.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed and willing to accept responsibility for results
  • Sets high goals and standards for self and others in the organization
  • Self-starter; committed to excellence: accuracy in work and attention to detail
  • Strong team leadership skills; necessary for coordination of large projects using a multi-disciplined team approach

Required Education/Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a consultative sales or design background in Education and/or Interiors and a Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of industry specific experience, will consider candidates who have a background in value-based or solution-based selling and demonstrate the necessary skills to achieve success.

In compliance with Washington States pay transparency law, the annual base salary range for this position is $97,900.00 - $125,500.00 - $156,900.00. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Steelcase considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
