Recreational Dance Instructor - Dance Tier 1

Seeking a Breakdancing Instructor to join our team.

MAC Dance instructors plan and conduct dance classes to a variety of ages and levels of ability. Prepare music and choreography in advance ensuring it’s suitability for the age group and/or skill level of the class. Assumes responsibility of all recorded music, confirming that music is appropriately utilized, and that tempo and volume fits class needs. Instructors are expected to emphasize proper technique to ensure safe execution and ensures that all aspects of class have variety, are creative and utilize the appropriate form, rhythm, modification and energy to meet class members’ needs, industry standards and program guidelines.

Qualifications

• Three years of teaching experience in a professional environment preferred.
• Professional performing experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Professional communication skills with large groups, with ability to show sensitivity to a diverse membership.
• Positive, enthusiastic approach to classes and program.
