As an R&D Scientist specializing in non-alcoholic beverages, particularly coffee products, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative and high-quality beverage formulations. Your work will contribute to enhancing flavor profiles, improving product stability, and ensuring overall product excellence. This position combines scientific expertise with creativity to create delightful coffee experiences for consumers.


The candidate must be prepared to support scale up process, process optimization and different activities at different sites/facilities occasionally.

The successful candidate should demonstrate with moderate “hands on” experience working with roasting, extraction, and vacuum dry processes (development, upscaling, downscaling).

She/He should have preliminary experiences and demonstrate technical leadership capabilities in the field of Food Science with Sensory, Analytical, and Processing knowledge.


Product Formulation and Development:

Design and optimize coffee-based beverage recipes, considering taste, texture, aroma, and visual appeal.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create new coffee products or improve existing ones.

Ingredient Sourcing and Evaluation:

Research and evaluate coffee beans, flavor enhancers, sweeteners, and other ingredients.

Conduct sensory evaluations to assess flavor, mouthfeel, and overall quality.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

Develop and execute testing protocols for coffee products, including shelf-life studies and stability assessments.

Address any quality issues promptly and propose solutions.


Qualifications and skills:

• MS, Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry.

• 3-4 years’ experience of hands-on Research and Development.

• Experience at pilot scale or in production environment is a plus

• Demonstrate an ability for multi-tasking, in planning and time management

Proficiency in flavor chemistry, sensory evaluation, and formulation.

Knowledge of coffee processing methods and brewing techniques.

Familiarity with food safety protocols.


The typical hiring range for this role is $73758 to $108,755 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements
