Job Summary
The Quality Improvement Specialist is the local team member who performs the daily activities for quality and performance improvement.The role will lead and manage high impact process improvement or project management projects throughout the organization.The role is responsible for the execution of the quality programs for Wentworth Douglass Hospital. Because this is a position in active change management environment, its team member will need to demonstrate flexibility and open mindedness as the contours of the position evolve over time.
Supports site specific quality improvement and clinical compliance needs, as directed by site OCMO leadership.
Execute quality improvement plans, and partners with local teams and departments to implement improvements
Assists with the site Quality Improvement Committee
Supports QAPI Plan
Utilizes quality and performance improvement tools, to manage projects and continuous process improvement projects per OCCMO strategies
Facilitates and executes improvements in clinical areas and sustains improvement overtime
Manages complex cross-functional process improvement or project management projects to successful completion
Utilizes quality improvement and project management methodologies and tools to achieve improvement and outcomes.
Oversee teams and stakeholders to define, manage, and deliver system-wide projects and clinical outcomes
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of relevant healthcare or administrative support experience (combinations of relevant experience/training will be considered)
Knowledge of principles of quality improvement, regulatory requirements, and process improvement.
Experience as project manager on several cross-functional complex projects
Must be a team player and work well with a variety of people in all levels of the organization
Must be available to work in the case of a hospital declared emergency
