Quality Engineer

Position Summary

The Quality Engineer works with engineering, manufacturing, and product management to provide professional quality guidance to assess, correct, and maintain the product quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers to complete source inspections

• INCR/NCR investigation

• Complete analysis on incoming products and approve all product receipts

• Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met

• First line escalation for problem parts

• Create bubble prints for new jobs

• Compile inspection reports per operation

• Create gage box requirements – including specification and ordering of gages

• Identify customer flow down requirements

• Review and compare quality plans

• Collaborate with operation managers to develop and improve process controls

• Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred

• Extensive experience in a quality assurance environment required – typically 5 years of more

• High proficiency in computer technology and systems operations

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with an attention to detail

• GD&T background required

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred, especially in machining
