Quality & Continuous Improvement Engineer

  • Contract Duration 6+ Months

Mandatory Skills:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree.
  • 2-5 years of proven experience in a Quality Engineer role in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 QM System and/or related quality systems and programs.
  • Ability to support manufacturing schedules (first or second shift) and overtime on an as-needed basis.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement Engineer must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired Skills:

  • American Society of Quality, Certified Quality Engineer certification
  • Experience in Aerospace, space launch, and military/commercial aviation is highly preferred.
  • Experience with IPC J-STD-001 (Space Addendum)
  • Experience with IPC 620 standard (IPC-WHMA-A-620)
  • Experience in GD&T fundamentals
  • Experience with quality tools such as Lean principles, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and corrective action
  • Experience with advanced product quality planning (APQP), process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), control plans, and various problem-solving approaches
  • Quality Management System audit experience
  • Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities
  • Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification

Note:

  • A shift - 7 am-4:30 pm Monday -Friday
