Quality Assurance Compliance Specialist

Job Summary:

Supports Quality Assurance, and Quality Control activities to ensure operations are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations and standard operating procedures to ensure product quality is consistent with the specifications and facilitate batch disposition for commercial purposes.

Responsibilities:

• Supports the Quality team in managing the Company’s Quality Management System to ensure alignment with State, Federal, SQF, 3rd party certifiers and customer requirements.
• Assists in the management of Change Controls, Deviations, Non-conformances, and CAPAs for Quality.
• Contributes to Material Review Board (MRB), and Quality Management Reviews meetings.
• Participate in inspections and audits from State, Federal, 3rd party certifiers, and customer inspections as well as SQF assessments and reassessments.
• Assists in responding to customers regarding document requests and questionnaires.
• Assists with Mock recalls and trace exercises.
• Assists in the creation, changes, and issuance of QCR's, Batch Cards, and packaging records to production.
• Trains Managers and/or Supervisors on changes to cGMP documentation and processes.
• Maintains HACCP files.
• May assist in the final release activities for raw materials, components and finished product release activities.
• Support collaborative environment and teamwork in meeting organizational goals.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to physically work with a computer.

Qualifications:

(Competencies, Minimum Education Requirements, Training or Experience)

• BS Degree in Food Science, Chemistry or related fields preferred.
• 2+ years related work experience.
• Computer literacy required with proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal, communication, and written skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Result-oriented.
• Self-motivated and organized.
