Quality Assurance Co-Op

Job Description

As an IoT Quality Assurance Co-op, you will be an extension of our Global Product Development team, experience a collaborative and diverse learning environment, partner with cross functional teams, and participate in all aspects of our product development process.

The Quality Assurance Co-Op should expect to work full-time during the current semester and must be actively enrolled as a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering major (with Computer Science coursework). Fortune Brands Innovations seeks students open to both one or multiple semesters.

POSITION LOCATION:

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with work performed in North Olmsted, Ohio, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

What You Will Be Doing

• Quality assurance support on products designed, composed of hardware, firmware, Wi-Fi, cloud, iOS and Android mobile apps, and Google and Alexa voice control.
• Validation team support ensuring product designs perform as intended and are reliable and safe for the consumer.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Support engineering projects and participate in functional project team activities.
• Support and maintain firmware process flow-chart, hardware development, software test plan and functional validation for consumer IoT products.
  
  

What You'll Bring

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (software programming focus).
• Exposure to or experience with Python or similar language.
• Strong analytical skills and creative ability.
• Experience with standard electronic lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and soldering equipment preferred.
