Public Relations Manager

We are seeking a seasoned PR Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate all public relations and brand management strategies for our client, an alternative asset management firm. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing PR initiatives to enhance our brand, drive client acquisition, and support business growth. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of the financial services industry, a strategic mindset, and the ability to thrive in a results-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to a long-term role with significant upward mobility for successful performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

• Develop and implement a comprehensive PR strategy aligned with the firm's business objectives and target market segments.
• Drive and manage ongoing PR activities and events including conferences, podcasts, sponsorships, media features, content creation, etc.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate PR initiatives into overall business planning.

Public Relations and Communications

• Manage relationships with media outlets and industry influencers to enhance the firm's visibility.
• Develop and maintain crisis communication plans to safeguard the firm's reputation.
• Enhance and protect the firm's brand through effective positioning, messaging, and communication strategies.
• Develop and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all marketing channels.
• Build and enhance the firm's visibility and presence in the asset management industry by systematically selecting events to sponsor/co-host and hosting events organized by the firm, including summits focused on tax and investing.

Content Development

• Drive the creation of high-quality, relevant content that showcases the firm's expertise, thought leadership, and value proposition.
• Collaborate with the investment team and third-party resources to translate complex financial concepts into accessible and compelling content.
• Manage the development and production of a podcast and YouTube channel hosted by the firm.

Digital Marketing

• Manage professional social media platforms (LinkedIn and Twitter) and coordinate the creation of short-form social media video content (Instagram and TikTok).
• Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, social media, email marketing, and other online channels.
• Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
• Stay current with digital marketing trends and technologies to drive marketing innovation for the firm.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in public relations, preferably within the financial services industry (strongly preferred).
• Proven track record in developing and executing successful PR and brand management strategies.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into accessible content.
