Public Health Associate

BLH Technologies, Inc., an award-winning company specializing in public health, research, and communications solutions for Federal and commercial clients, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Health Associate to join our team and support Federal clients, including those within the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The successful candidate will support public health research and communication projects, contributing to initiatives that aim to improve the health and well-being of communities across the world. The candidate will work on various concurrent projects, including literature reviews, workgroup coordination, research plan development and execution, and report development.


This is a hybrid role with three days/week dedicated to working in the BLH headquarters office in Rockville, Maryland, or at the client site, to further foster our inclusive work environment and team culture.


Key Responsibilities:


· Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of public health research projects.

· Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to public health issues.

· Prepare reports, presentations, and publications to disseminate research findings.

· Support the development and execution of communication strategies to promote public health initiatives.

· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including researchers, public health professionals, and community organizations.

· Monitor and track public health trends and emerging issues.

· Provide administrative and logistical support for workgroups and events.

· Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and management.


Qualifications:


· Master's degree in Public Health, Health Communication, Epidemiology, or a related field.

· At least 1-2 years of experience in public health research or communications.

· Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) and data visualization tools.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

· Familiarity with federal public health policies and programs is a plus.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
