Property Accounting Manager

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Property Accounting Manager to join our client's dynamic team. This full-time position is focused on managing the monthly financial statement close process for a portfolio of real estate assets. The ideal candidate will be adept at collaborating with property and asset management teams to ensure efficient month-end close processes. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities for financial analysis, and proficiency in creating necessary corrective journal entries are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial statements and create necessary corrective journal entries.
• Solve problems effectively and support team collaboration.
• Manage the monthly financial statement close process for a portfolio of real estate assets.
• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively to ensure efficient month-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and investment reports.
• Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis to support business decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience; 3 years experience in real estate accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, journal entries, and fixed assets.
• Proficiency in the month-end close process.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
• Experience with Yardi preferred.
• Knowledgeable in GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
