One Tech Engineering is searching for a Project Field Engineer for a position located in Pueblo, Colorado. The Project Field Engineer will be supporting large solar plants within the Southern Colorado region.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of electrical engineering experience.
Project Field Engineer Responsibilities
Work in the field extensively, collaborating with the project team to enforce specifications with the EPC contractor and address compliance issues.
Work with our lead electrical engineer on the project to be able to understand/interpret design drawings and managing the compliance of the construction to the design drawings and managing RFI requests.
Provide information to the contractors or field construction teams, as they often require information such as specifications and drawings.
Responsible for understanding and managing the scope of the contract.
Responsible for the design, modeling, development and testing of a machine, structure or system. Develops functional requirements.
Understands and applies standard engineering principles.
Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and test how a machine, structure or system operates.
Designs and tests components, and integrates components to produce final product.
Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes.
Evaluates a design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements.
Requirements of the Project Field Engineer:
5-7 years of electrical engineering experience with 2-3 years specifically in the renewable generation project space (construction or engineering design).
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or strong/commensurate experience.
Knowledge of/familiarity with NCRs, RFIs, and the ability to understand and manage the scope of a contract.
Experience with ProjectWise and Bluebeam software is preferred.
