Project Designer/Modeler

Industrialized Construction Solutions Inc. We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Project Designer/Modeler to carry out the development, design, engineering and delivery of high-performance component buildings. 

Position Summary 

This position will be part of the ICS Design Studio Team. The individual will be responsible for Revit-based modeling, detailing, and documentation of the structural and applied finish systems utilized in ICS prefabricated construction activities. The Project Designer/Modeler will work closely with architects, engineers, and prefab designers within the Studio Team as well as external consultants. Designing buildings for prefabrication requires innovative design & detailing skills and a keen sense of technical detail coupled with strong verbal and graphic communication skills. This position is primarily a Revit modeling and drafting position, with opportunity to grow into other future roles including architectural and engineering design and project management.   

Job Responsibilities 

·       Work with the Studio team in the modeling, detailing, drafting and production of Revit-based construction and production documents and details as they pertain to prefabricated building structures. 

·       Execute projects, through development, production, quality assurance, permitting, and construction administration. 

·       Work closely and coordinate with interdisciplinary team members. 

·       Meet project schedules and milestones. 

·       Provide QA/QC to project documents and overall process. 

·       Work on sophisticated BIM models. Integrate and coordinate prefabricated building components with ASMEP design.  

·       Participate in Construction Documents and Construction Administration delivery. 

·       Work with cross-functional teams and software engineers to develop and implement efficient and automated workflows throughout the design to manufacturing and construction project phases. 

Specific Skills and Experience Requirements 

·       2-6 years of experience in architecture or engineering modeling, drafting and detailing.

·       Position requires high proficiency level of Revit.

·       Ability to learn on the job and adapt to an interdisciplinary workflow. 

·       Knowledge of building codes and construction methods.

·       Iterative mindset to multi-task between various prefabricated architectural and structural systems.

·       Superior communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

·       Requires ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.  

·       Requires the ability to be self-motivated and complete work independently with minimal supervision.

·       Additional experience in MWF, Framecad Structure/Detailer, and/or Tekla is not required but brings added value to the position.

·       Requires high degree of ethics and integrity.  

·       Ability to work locally in either of ICS’s offices in Bentonville AR or San Francisco CA desired, however remote work will be considered for the right candidate.
