Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
Under the direction of the project director and in collaboration with Transition Alliance of South Carolina ( TASC ) project staff and partners, to develop and implement a framework of tiered support to South Carolina School districts and other stakeholders serving transition aged youth with disabilities. This will include coordinating communication, development and distribution of resources, data collection and support for all districts as part of the contract between the Center for Disability Resources, Department of Pediatrics, USC School of Medicine and the SC Department of Education. Finally, the Project Coordinator will work with all project staff and program partners to develop, coordinate, and implement program goals, objectives and activities.
Required Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of experience in relevant secondary transition and/or Career Technology Education ( CTE ) program experience, or comparable.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in education (i.e. special education or CTE ) field and 2 or more years of relevant special education and/or career and technology education program experience. Knowledge of IDEA , specifically secondary transition.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of CTE educational system; experience providing technical assistance at the local or state level; and experience with interagency collaboration and/or employment of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Required to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance and privacy policies, procedures and regulations.
