The Program Facilitator Intern will be working with an at-risk, all-boys, youth program. The Intern will be required to put together lesson planning, classroom management and social emotional learning/ teaching. Interns works in conjunction with the Program Director on all aspects of the program including planning, organizing, leading, coordinating and controlling program activities. In addition, the incumbent of this position must have the ability to work collaboratively with other organizations, have strong problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Follow Wyman Teen Outreach Program Replication standards and maintain program model fidelity
Work with school system to identify and recruit target population
Collect and report data as required by the funding sources
Attend all program meetings as requested by the funding source
Facilitate Teen Outreach Program curriculum lessons and community service-learning activities with youth (youth are Waterbury high school students)
Represent the agency by participating in related groups and committees
Qualifications / Requirements
Currently in your Junior/ Senior level college education
In the process of acquiring your degree in Teaching or Social Work
Experience facilitating groups
Schedule
3 days per week / 180 minutes (3 hours) per scheduled day
Flexible between 7:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday
Based on student’s school schedule
