Program Coordinator

Overview:

Ready for Life is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Program Coordinator for a Youth Opportunity Grant funded by the City of St. Petersburg until 12-31-2026.  


The Program Coordinator will have primary case management duties for grant-funded Guaranteed Income clients. They will Manage a total caseload (over two years) of 88 program participants ages 18-27 who are not in foster care or extended foster care at the time but have previous involvement in the child welfare system and have a connection to St. Petersburg. The Program Coordinator will recruit participants and collaborate with the City of St. Petersburg and local providers to promote the program and help identify potential program clients. They will assist in the program eligibility application process, determine eligibility, process onboarding paperwork, assist clients with filling out the prepaid card payment application; link clients to available resources and optional internal services/programming as provided by staff included in this grant.


Key Responsibilities:


1.  Program Coordination:

  - Oversee the daily operations of the Youth Opportunity Grant Program.

  - Ensure compliance with grant requirements and guidelines.

  - Maintain accurate records and documentation for all program activities.


2.  Recruitment and Outreach:

  - Develop and implement a recruitment strategy to identify and attract eligible applicants.

  - Conduct outreach activities within the St. Petersburg community to promote the program.

  - Collaborate with local organizations, schools, and agencies to identify potential candidates.


3.  Collaboration and Partnership:

  - Build and maintain relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders.

  - Coordinate with community organizations to support program initiatives and client needs.

  - Represent Ready for Life at community events and meetings.


4.  Application Review and Onboarding:

  - Review and evaluate applications to determine eligibility and suitability for the program.

  - Conduct interviews and assessments with applicants as needed.

  - Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring they understand program expectations and   benefits.


5.  Client Support and Oversight:

  - Provide ongoing support and guidance to program clients in the office as well as in St. Petersburg and surrounding areas.

  - Monitor client progress and address any challenges or issues that arise.

  - Ensure clients receive their financial education and evaluation participation stipends in a timely manner.


6.  Reporting and Evaluation:

  - Prepare regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and impact.

  - Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

  - Assist in the preparation of grant reports and funding proposals as needed.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, nonprofit management, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in human services or a related field.

- Strong understanding of the foster care system and the challenges faced by individuals transitioning out of foster care.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with diverse stakeholders.

- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.

- Commitment to the mission and values of Ready for Life.

- Valid Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation required.


**Preferred Qualifications: **

- Experience working with at-risk youth or young adults.

- Knowledge of the St. Petersburg community and local resources.


**Compensation: **
