Production Team Lead

The Team Lead is responsible for a designated area and for directing, training and coordinating the activities of the team members engaged in the production or the processing of material. Lead the department team and others, perform all fabrication necessary in fulfilling work orders; achieve and support company goals in support of the customer, quality, and on-time delivery. In this role, you will be based in Skokie initially and then Franklin Park, IL.

A day in the life of a Team Lead can look like

• Review work orders, production schedule, reports and other related documents to determine production requirements. Evaluate current work cell capacity for on-time performance
• Interpret drawing, specifications and shop orders
• Plan and implement work schedules, assignments and workflow to meet production goals
• Identify opportunities for productivity improvements
• Revise production schedules where required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering
• Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess quality. Completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
• Ensure team members adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Maintain housekeeping standards.

We are looking for you to have

• High school Diploma, GED, Technical/Trade School or equivalent experience with 2 years supervision experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• A Customer Service Attitude is a requirement
• Computer skills to include: Windows7 & Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with AS 400 is desirable.

• Outstanding organizational skills are a must
• Must be able to work in the US
