Job Description:

Display Unrivaled Product Knowledge

  • Master all Axalta product lines with an emphasis on our core collision APL products and CTAM.
  • Know how we stack up against competitive offerings and demonstrate our advantages in sales situations.
  • Understand and be able to train on ColorNet offering to strengthen our overall color capability in the marketplace.
  • Promote our APL strategy with all customers, do not promote the mixing of Axalta or competitive brands.


Support Growth Activity

  • Implement U-POL APL Products on every shop call, stop in and sell to the Body Department.
  • During conversions and upgrades, follow the installation guide allowing for a flawless customer transition
  • Regularly conduct WOW Sessions and demos
  • Follow all best practices for product and the color retrieval processes
  • i.e. camera first, then chips


Support Competitive Focus Days

  • Spend 15% of your time spent cultivating target accounts.
  • Add leads into the sales funnel by creating Opportunities in Salesforce to assist the team and Sales Specialist(s) close more deals.


Train Our Distribution Partners on Our Products

  • Conduct at least one counter clinic a quarter (4x/ year).
  • Train distributor technicians to ensure they have a complete understanding of our products.
  • Launch new products with distribution, make sure they know where it fits and how to use it.


Maintain Existing Customers

  • Make sure our customers are using our product correctly and using the right products for their conditions.
  • Focus on efficiency and profitability with our products by minimizing over mixing and waste.
  • If you see any waste at our best customers, identify it and fix it on the spot, include the Account Manager so we can implement the changes in their Account Plans.


Embrace Tech U by Utilizing Field Service Lightning and Promoting Refinish Support

  • Transition customers and account owners to dictate their own technical needs by self-submitting no more than 25% of the technician requests.
  • Work closely with market team to understand technical needs of customers in the marketplace.
  • Be cautious about scheduling out beyond one week.
  • Support Axalta's growth and retention strategy by focusing your time on Retention (60-70%), followed by Growth (15-20%), Market Access (5-10%), then Service (<10%). Complete a total of 1,250 Service Appointment Hours.
  • Use and encourage the use of Refinish Support for service-related technical needs.

  • Maintain Your Personal Career Development Plan

    • Create and implement your personal career development plan.
    • Identify where you need to improve your knowledge and skills; take steps to improve.
    • Utilize Aspire by taking relevant courses that fit your role and job description.
    • Be a student of the industry.
    • Participate in the annual Face to Face PS Training, completing all assigned pre-work
