Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Product-Project Manager to support KITS and our government customer. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This is a Remote opportunity.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

The Product/Project Manager for a technology portfolio modernization will be responsible for leading and coordinating efforts to modernize various technology products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining and driving the product/project roadmap for technology modernization initiatives.
  • Defining product requirements, features, and functionalities based on stakeholder feedback and industry best practices.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and align project goals with business objectives.
  • Working closely with development teams to prioritize tasks and ensure timely delivery of product enhancements.
  • Managing the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Monitoring product performance, gathering user feedback, and iterating on features to enhance user experience.
  • Communicating product updates and milestones to internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to execute product modernization strategies and deliver on project milestones.
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation plans to address project challenges.
  • Ensuring compliance with project management best practices and quality standards.

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management and/or project management, specifically in technology modernization.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering technology projects.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders and the ability to articulate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, including defining product strategies and roadmaps, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in agile project management/development methodologies.
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience in modernizing technology portfolios in a government or federal environment.
  • Project/Product management certification (e.g., PMP).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce platform and applications.
  • Strategic analytical and problem-solving skills.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
