Product Development Scientist

This Product Developer is a key role within the R&D department for a great company that is a research forward market leading dairy manufacturer. Born out of growth, the R&D department is in need of a great leader to join the team for long-term innovation. Having a background in cultured dairy is ideal! This is a great position for furthering your career as you will be overseeing Jr. developers through the formulation of new products as well as reformulating current offerings.

Education:

• M.S., PhD preferred with 7+ years’ experience or B.S. with 10+ years’ experience in cultured dairy development

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Expert knowledge in area of Food Science, Dairy Chemistry
• Proficient in experimental design with attention to detail and impeccable organization
• Knowledge of Laboratory, Pilot Plant, and manufacturing facility processes and procedures
• Proven ability to lead long-term projects and Jr. developers from ideation through commercialization
• Good Laboratory research skills
• Able to generate ideas, test their effectiveness and decide on a plan of action
• Able to demonstrate professional, verbal, and written communication
• Able to follow written and oral instruction and able to lead through written and oral methods
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to communicate with various departments including Customers, Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Operations and Product Development in a professional manner
