Producer for Interactive (Contract)

The Challenge

Sawhorse is seeking a Producer/Project Manager to play a pivotal role in scoping projects, establishing budgets, creating production schedules, assembling core teams, and overseeing projects from inception to completion.

This role will report directly to the Head of the Interactive Department. As a Producer/Project Manager at Sawhorse, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with creative teams to define project objectives, scope, and timelines to align project goals with the studio's vision
• Manage and lead interdisciplinary teams, including designers, developers, writers, and artists, to achieve project goals
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and resources
• Ensure the quality and creative integrity of interactive content, adhering to industry best practices
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive creativity and problem-solving
• Identify and mitigate project risks and challenges
• Provide regular project updates to the Head of Interactive and studio leadership
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance our interactive offerings
  
  
  

Requirements

• 2+ years experience as a Producer or Project Manager for games, software, or other creative productions including video/film
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and client management
• Creative problem-solving abilities to manage projects on nascent platforms in virtual worlds/VR/metaverse/web3
• Comfortable managing tasks in JIRA
• A keen eye for quality product design and high ownership and pride over final deliverables
• A portfolio showcasing previous interactive projects and your contributions to them
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  
  
  

Nice to haves

• Working knowledge of Roblox, Fortnite, RecRoom and/or Unity
• Experience reading game design docs, Figma flows, and bug reports

LOCATION/SCHEDULE

This role can be based in the Los Angeles office or remote. This position is generally operating during West Coast hours M-F 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
