The Pre-Sales Solution Engineer (SE) will be the dedicated technical pre-sales resource for the Sales team focused on the Keysight products and solutions targeting enterprise customers. The SE will work with the dedicated Regional Sales Manager (covering CO and AZ) and provide all pre-sales support including presentations, demos, solution creation, Visio drawings, and support proof of value with the customer. The successful candidate will be a skilled engineer that is able to assess customer needs and present the appropriate technical solution. Preferred Location: Denver, CO
Work jointly with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to architect the solution (create Bill of Materials and Visio solution drawings) and ensure recommended solution leverages Keysight enterprise, cloud, visibility and security features and fits into the overall client network and security architecture and requirements.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a technical aptitude to deliver powerful, succinct, convincing, and customer-focused presentations (Microsoft Teams and in person)
Ask appropriate, insightful questions to identify customer needs, understand business issues and drivers behind specific request.
Provide thought leadership while working closely with the RSM to coordinate efforts between partners and customers
Respond timely to technical pre-sales inquiries, requests for information (RFI), requests for proposals (RFP), and requests for quotation (RFQ)
Assist remotely and on-site with installing and supporting customer proof of value of the proposed solution
Deliver training for ecosystem technology partner and channel partner engineers and architects to allow them to help identify potential opportunities.
Leverage social media platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter for brand awareness and marketing.
Travel daily with overnight travel up to 30%
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work
8+ years pre-sales experience working with channel partners and customers directly, preferably for networking or software companies
Detailed understanding of data communications concepts, including on-premise, virtual, and cloud.
Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in job related to Network Packet Brokers, Taps, Cloud Visibility & Bypass switches
Strong knowledge of switching/routing concept and application protocols, including strong understanding of TCP/IP and Layer 2-7 concepts and protocols
Excellent communication skills: written and verbal. Ability to effectively present to various audiences using MS Teams.
Able to work independently but also in a matrix team environment
Preferred Experience
Enterprise data center networking and troubleshooting with tools from Cisco, FireEye, VMware, Viavi, A10, NetScout, Wireshark, CA, Extrahop, Riverbed, etc.
Network Test, Emulation, Security Testing Tools experience is a plus
The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.
Colorado pay range: MIN $175,110- MAX $291,850
Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
