We're looking for someone to join our team as an Practice Manager who:

In conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer, the Practice Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the health center. The position functions as the onsite representative of administration, ensures best practices are exercised and provides management of CSV health centers. The Interim Practice Manager supports CSV’s culture transformation to improve health outcomes, improve the patient experience, and reduce wastes. The Interim Practice Manager functions with financial understanding of operating a business and is the first point of contact for patients, employees and providers with questions and/or concerns. The position works collaboratively with the nursing staff to ensure patient flow, ordering/stocking of supplies and efficient management of provider’s schedules to meet the need of the patients. The Interim Practice Manager will work collaboratively with all multidisciplinary areas including Behavioral Health, CPSP, WIC, Eligibility, and other CSV departments. This role promotes the Clinica Sierra Vista Production System (CSVPS) and ensures operational efficiency through daily management, monitoring and reporting of all health center objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees daily practice operations, including managing practice and operating budget, appointment scheduling, billing procedures, and environment of care.
  • Interview, select new staff and coordinate training of new and established health center staff.
  • Manage staff by assigning and delegating tasks as needed.
  • Work with providers to meet productivity and address open encounters.
  • Approve payroll, manage time off requests and effectively use resources to optimize productivity.
  • Ensures health center and team are meeting all quality improvement guidelines and requirements by health plans, county, state and federal entities as well as, accredited auditing agencies.
  • Interacts with patients, gains customer feedback and addresses patient complaints.
  • Monitors practice's progress through reports and dashboards for overall health center efficiency.
  • Perform introductory and annual employee reviews, competency forms and provide constructive feedback on their performance to help meet organizational and professional goals.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures function in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
  • Manager will set a climate of open and frequent communication to include; Huddle, People Link board, Gemba rounding, and adhering to Leader Standard of Work.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Health Management preferred and/or minimum of three-years supervisory experience preferably in a health care setting or five years’ health care experience with leadership qualities.
  • Must adhere to Clinica Sierra Vista’s employee health/immunization requirements or provide a valid exemption request for subsequent approval.
