Plant Manager
Job Description
The Plant Manager will report directly to the VP, Operations. They will be responsible for managing overall operations at a facility in Temple, TX. This position will oversee the training of personnel, production, warehouse operations, and safety of all employees at the assigned plant.
Responsibilities
Daily production measured by output per day and machine uptime
Daily scheduling of production based on weekly capacity plan
Daily management of forklift operations to support production activity
Maintenance & publication of a comprehensive Line Operations cost, speed, up-time, and safety performance KPI dashboard
Daily management of ERP and WMS system related to line production
Management of team performance based on metrics and KPIs
Maintain and track daily labor hours by line associate to support invoice reconciliation
Manage temporary labor alongside production planner
Support and coordination with capacity planning and scheduling functions
Ensure SQF guidelines are being followed and documentation recorded properly
Ordering all warehouse supplies as needed (PPE, glue, shrink wrap, etc.)
Line personnel operations & safety training; ensuring highest safety standards are maintained
Compliance to regulatory standards, including but not limited to OSHA, SQF, Kosher, etc.
Warehouse and yard operations, including inbound and outbound product processing, effective utilization of WMS, and efficient use of and maintenance of facilities and support equipment
Engage with Sojo Maintenance for routine and ad-hoc repairs
Qualifications:
Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Plant Operations Experience Required.
Knowledge and experience with safety regulations, ex: OSHA, MSHA
Proficient with WMS systems preferred
Communication and interpersonal skills
Organizational and leadership skills
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
Experience:
Manufacturing: 7 years (Required)
Management: 5 years (Required)
