Principle Responsibilities:
Develop a thorough understanding of all departmental operations and serve as a backup for others on the plant staff as needed
Work in a team environment as the leader of plant management, supporting and developing other members
Lead the safety, health, and environmental effort to achieve expected results and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
Act as the main site contact for Givaudan Sense Colour - All EHS complaints and incidents will be directed accordingly
Support plant safety initiatives, attend, and facilitate plant safety team meetings – lead by example
Provide leadership to plant maintenance staff and reliability manager
Authorize requests for resources, whether financial or human, to ensure the plant needs are communicated to Senior Management
Communicate plant metrics at monthly Communication Meetings and Awareness Days
Ensure that routine internal inspections (CBW audits, GMP audits, Departmental Safety Audits, Master Disinfection Schedule) are carried out and organize any remedial actions necessary
Ensure that the Health and Safety Objectives and Targets are met
Compliance with EHS permits and legal requirements as required by the Register of Legal and Other Requirements Procedure
Coordinate inspection of railcar fleet and lease acquisition of rail tank cars
Ensure customer expectations are exceeded with the highest quality products and services
Lead all associates in continuous improvement activities to achieve productivity goals
Effectively manage the production schedule to meet customer needs with minimum inventory. Assist with Production Planning
Coordinate the engineering of new equipment installations and process innovations
Effectively manage all spending and control at or below budget levels
Develop strategic and annual business plans for the Louisville operations with the Director of Manufacturing
Safety Snap program champion
Daily check-in with production to ensure order fulfillment
Completion of Weekly Manufacturing Report
Lead Louisville Leadership Team meetings, organize agenda – (monthly management review)
Weekly meetings with Supply Chain / Production Scheduling to ensure materials are in place to meet the production schedule

Skill Requirements:
10 years leadership experience, preferably in food or chemicals manufacturing
Energetic, enthusiastic leader of continuous improvement with team orientation
Managing and measuring work
Willingness to pitch in to help others in any area or function with hands-on assistance
Safety, environmental, and quality experience and regulatory knowledge required
Communication skills and the ability to select and develop people
Computer literate with the ability to learn various software applications
Spray drying experience is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, a Master’s degree is a plus
Physical Demands:
On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Daily hours may fluctuate as production needs warrant
