THE POSITION: Full-time obstetric hospitalist physician with solid clinical experience. The objective is to recruit a clinically sound, mission-driven, and compassionate physician/educator dedicated to the provision of care to the local community in Bronx County, New York City.

THE CANDIDATE: The candidate must be capable of working with residents, medical students, midwives, and advanced practice providers (NP/PA) in labour and delivery, the operating rooms, and inpatient units. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to provide antenatal care, intrapartum management of births, and patient education in a high acuity patient-centred environment. The candidate must also be committed to social justice and providing equitable care to patients from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications:

• Medical Degree


• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynaecology


• Eligible to obtain a New York State Medical License and DEA License


• 7+ Years of experience

THE OPPORTUNITY:

• Full-time position


• Work directly with certified nurse midwives to provide 24/7 coverage of labour and delivery.


• General Obstetrics hospital day and night shift coverage including GYN consults.


• Work in a large, thriving department with support from nine academic divisions including:

Family Planning, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Fetal Medicine

and Ultrasound, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynaecologic Oncology, Minimally Invasive

Gynaecologic Surgery, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Reproductive and

Medical Genetics

In addition to a competitive salary of $305,000-425,000, the client offers the
