Private Duty Nursing involves one-on-one care in the home for pediatric clients with complex medical needs, requiring ongoing skilled medical attention.
Responsibilities Of PD Nurses
Delivering personalized care and building strong relationships with patients
Conducting vital signs and physical assessments
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
Documenting patient's health status
Providing care for G-tubes, trachs, and ventilation if needed
Training And Support
Individualized on-the-job training
Specialized training in trach, ventilator, and G-tube care
