Job Description

Title: Payroll Specialist I

Location: Remote

Type: Contract/Contract to hire (3mo+)

Pay: $20hr (Candidates must be able to work W2, this role is not eligible for Corp to Corp or sponsorship.)

Overview:

Responsible for processing payroll and A/P. Initiative and assistance with ad hoc payroll issues as they arise.

Job Responsibilities:

Completes full cycle payroll processing

Responds to employee payroll questions in an efficient manner

Prepares payroll journal entries

Reviews of the quarterly payroll tax reports

Year-end processing W-2 and 1099

Skills:

Experience in payroll processing

Professionalism and integrity in handling confidential information

Demonstrated attention to detail

Familiarity with payroll systems

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field required.

Some professional working experience as a payroll specialist is required.
