Payroll Specialist

LHH is looking to hire a Payroll Specialist to join our client's growing team. This role involves overseeing payroll operations for their portfolio and spearheading payroll enhancements to accommodate the company's needs. This is a hybrid work environment with 3 days in office. Apply today!

Responsibilities:

• Lead payroll operations for over 40 centers, including coordinating with operational teams, updating payroll systems for employee changes, and ensuring timely payroll processing.
• Monitor and manage the shared payroll mailbox, resolving issues promptly.
• Facilitate the application process for new state tax IDs during acquisitions.
• Collaborate with tax authorities to address payroll tax notices and resolve related issues.
• Collaborate with various departments to implement improvements to the payroll process.
• Work closely with the Accounting Team on ad hoc payroll-related projects.
• Develop expertise on the company's payroll system (Paylocity) and collaborate with the Paylocity Account Manager to ensure scalable procedures in line with the organizations growth trajectory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of payroll and benefits experience
• Bachelors degree
• Experience with Paylocity or Employee Navigator is a plus
