Job Description

We are searching for a Payroll/HR Generalist to join our team and help us sprint forward into our future as a leader in the retail automotive industry.

Job Type: Full-time 4/10 schedule (10 hours, 4 days per week)

The Payroll/HR Generalist will have the following responsibilities at the Dealership level:

  • Process semi-monthly payroll
  • Assist in the processing of payment and enrollment information of the company's benefits offerings
  • Ensure accurate and complete financial reporting of payroll data in the company's accounting system
  • Assist in the recruiting and onboarding of new employees
  • Ensure timely filing of all employment related tax, regulatory, and administrative filings with all federal, state, and municipal entities
  • Maintain an adequate knowledge of payroll and employment regulatory changes
  • Assist the executive team with any other tasks relevant to payroll and/or HR
  • This is not intended to be an exhaustive listing of job responsibilities. The right candidate will be able to serve in a dynamic capacity. , handling a myriad of tasks that ultimately support the efficient operation of the dealership.

The right candidate is expected to meet the following requirements:

  • Must have served as a Payroll Specialist for no less than one year
  • Proficiency in a myriad of business software including payroll and/or human resource information systems, communications platforms, and cloud-based file sharing
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to self-manage with little direction or oversight

The right candidate could possess the following preferred skillset:

  • Experience serving 100+ employees

Experience with automotive franchises

Proficiency in the CDK Drive, MS365, ADP Workforce Now, or automotive dealership and general business software platforms

Ability to generate custom reports, templates, and tools to improve efficiency by automating processes.

Proficiency in inter-personal conflict resolution and ability to develop and maintain a team-based culture.
