Qualifications

• Possess an undergraduate degree in a Life Science
• Hold a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, or the ability to qualify, is required
• Thorough understanding of intellectual property laws and regulations, especially related to patent prosecution in the life sciences industry
• Be a member of the Bar in the United States
• 2+ years of experience in patent prosecution and counseling
• Demonstrated expertise in patent drafting, prosecution, and counseling

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will play a crucial role in interfacing directly with in-house counsel and the US Trademark and Patent office
• Conducting patent prosecution and drafting patent applications related to life sciences technologies
• Managing client relationships and communication regarding intellectual property strategies and portfolio management
• Performing legal research and analysis to support client initiatives and litigation efforts in the life sciences field
• Collaborating with other attorneys and stakeholders within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal services to clients
