About Us: Greater King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church is a congregation that fosters a welcoming, inclusive, and spiritually enriching environment. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastor and Servant to lead us in worship, ministry, and service.

What We Believe: We believe that there is only one living and true God, who exists in three distinct persons – God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three, the Trinity, are equal in essence and distinct in function. As Christians, we also believe in the immersion of believers during the ordinance of water baptism. The believers' baptism is an outward sign of an inward change. 

Job Overview: The Pastor will provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and administrative oversight to our congregation. This role includes preaching, teaching, counseling, performing marriages, facilitating funerals, and overseeing various church activities and programs. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic orator, communicator, strong leader, and compassionate individual who can relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preaching and Worship Leadership: Prepare and deliver weekly sermons, plan and lead worship services, and administer ordinances such as baptism and communion.
• Pastoral Care: Provide spiritual guidance, counseling, and support to individuals and families within the congregation. Conduct weddings, funerals, baptisms, christenings, and other ministerial duties as required.
• Education and Discipleship: Oversee educational programs in conjunction with the Director of Christian Education and Sunday School Superintendent for all ages, including Bible studies, Sunday School, and Revivals. Mentor and support church members in their spiritual growth.
• Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships within the local community, participate in community events, and lead outreach initiatives to share the gospel and serve those in need.
• Church Administration: Collaborate with the Deacon Board, church staff, and program committees to oversee church activities.  
• Vision and Mission: Lead the congregation in developing and pursuing the church’s vision and mission. Encourage and equip members to live out their faith in daily life.

Spiritual and Personal Qualifications:

• Deep Faith and Spiritual Maturity: Demonstrates a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a life that reflects the fruit of the Spirit.
• Sound Doctrine: Holds and can effectively communicate sound biblical doctrine, in alignment with the beliefs of the Holy Bible, Greater King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church, and its covenant.
• Prayerful Life: Committed to a life of prayer and spiritual disciplines.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Post-secondary education is highly encouraged
• A Bachelor's degree {in Theology, Divinity, Religious Studies, or a related field}is preferred
• A Master's degree {in Theology, Divinity, or a related field} is a plus
• A Doctorate degree {in Theology, Divinity, or a related field} is a plus

Ordination: Already ordained by a recognized Baptist licensing organization (must be already completed and not in progress)

• Experience: Pastoral experience preferred, including preaching, teaching, counseling and pastoral care.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers.
• Personal Qualities: Deep commitment to the Christian faith, a heart for ministry, and a passion for serving others. High moral character and integrity.
