Part Time Teacher, Aspire Program ESOL

Job Description

This is an open post inviting qualified candidates to submit an application as an expression of interest in current and future openings.

The Teacher in the Aspire ESOL program provides instruction to adult English Language Learners striving to achieve competence in reading, writing, speaking and comprehension of the English language. The Aspire Program Specialist works to ensure that learning activities and delivery systems are varied, engaging, responsive and purposeful for students and their learning styles. Typical activities include the preparation of weekly lesson plans and the delivery of classroom instruction using established curriculum, multiple delivery methods and on-line resources tailored to the specific student needs. The Specialist will administer skill level assessments as a part of participant enrollment and/or progress testing and must participate in professional development activities as required. The Specialist must ensure timely and accurate data reporting occurs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, experience providing instruction to English Language Learners.

Preferred Qualifications: Teaching Certification/Licensure, experience in Adult Education, proficient in using instructional technology, and TESOL certification.
