(Part-time) Medical Lab Scientist - Pottstown,

The ideal candidate should have a background in Clinical Laboratory Science and be eligible for ASCP certification. Medical Lab Technicians (Associates) will also be considered.



Key Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree (Medical Lab Scientist) or Associate's degree (Medical Lab Technician)

  • Completion of a Clinical Laboratory Science program

  • Eligibility to test for ASCP certification (AMT certification is also acceptable)



Key Responsibilities:




  • Perform a wide range of complex clinical laboratory assays

  • Evaluate the validity of test results

  • Troubleshoot equipment and testing issues

  • Conduct and review quality control and preventive maintenance

  • Accurately report results and perform additional assigned duties

  • Conduct procedures under the supervision of a supervisor

  • Interpret test results to assist physicians in diagnosis

  • Work in various lab areas, including Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, RIA/Serology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Microbiology

  • Perform studies and tests for disease diagnosis and treatment



Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have significant experience as a Medical Lab Scientist or Technician and be adept at performing clinical laboratory assays and troubleshooting. The nature of work may vary based on workload and assigned duties.
