Packaging Technician - 1st Shift

Job Description

Packaging Technicians will report directly to the Packaging Group Leader. This position will have primary responsibility for packaging (both sterile and non-sterile) operations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Verify products are correct and perform inspection of product using precision measuring equipment (such as calipers and micrometers) as applicable for product identification, prior to packaging
  • Verify paperwork is complete and accurate, ensuring all products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications
  • Package product per setup sheet specifications
  • Accurately compile final paperwork and verify/review job completion
  • Print and apply labels as necessary
  • Run packaging, sealing, and testing machinery
  • Compile Certificate of Compliance documentation packages according to customer requirements
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Process Engineers, and Manufacturing Engineers to resolve questions and concerns as they arise
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist and train others as requested

Education And/or Experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • ISO 13485 experience preferred

  • Blueprint reading knowledge

Environmental & Physical Demands

  • Manufacturing environment: sitting or standing for long periods of time is required
  • May require repetitive motions
  • May require working in isolated space (i.e., clean room) for periods of time
  • May require special attire (gowns, hairnets, etc.) if working in a clean room environment
  • Occasional exposure to loud noise
  • May require lifting up to 40 lbs.
